TEA released 27 STAAR Questions this Summer.  Our students have been reviewing them in class on a daily basis.  

Being Prepared is our Main Focus to passing the STAAR Exam.

Month of December:

8th Grade Math:   We are almost done with the First Semester.   Our Semester Project will include two parts:  the Interactive Journal and a Research Document on a famous Mathematician.   Students were given the information several weeks ago.  Their Semester Project is due on December 14th.  In class this 3rd Six Weeks, we have covered Unit 4 and Unit 5.  Currently, Unit 5 consists of Functions and Proportional vs NonProportional concepts.  Both of these two concepts are heavily tested on the Staar Test in 8th Grade.  Continue to encourage your child to do their Best in class and let's have a wonderful New Year!

Algebra I:  Semester Projects are due on December 14th.   We have been working hard in class and learning many new things.  We are currently testing over Inequalities and Solving Solutions on Graphs.  It has been an exciting First Semester.  I am looking forward to the next Semester and the New Year! 

Please advise your child to focus in class and follow directions to ensure that they get a better understanding of the material being covered.
